County unit meeting participation is encouraged for all town officials. The meetings empower you to network with other town officials, engage with legislators, learn from speakers, hear updates from WTA Directors, and improve your ability to serve your constituents. The Dunn County Unit leaders look forward to your participation.
The Wisconsin Towns Association is a nonpartisan association that provides legislative advocacy as part of its mission. We focus on town issues and support strategies that are good for towns and oppose actions that are bad for towns regardless of who comes up with them. We kindly ask that speakers and participants focus their comments and questions strictly on challenges and opportunities affecting town government. Dialogue on matters of national or international importance that do not impact the function of town government is encouraged to occur before or after the unit meeting. Critical analysis of proposals, legislative or otherwise, and how they impact towns is encouraged; however, disparaging comments unrelated to proposals impacting towns are discouraged.
Agenda
Agenda may be presented in a different order than shown. Action may be taken on any or all items as shown. Speakers may be different than shown.
The meeting will be held in-person. If you are or have recently felt ill or have a fever or have been in contact with someone that is ill, please do not attend.
An email reminder will be sent 3-5 business days prior to this meeting. We use the email addresses submitted annually by your town. If you are NOT receiving emails from WTA, please contact our office at 715-526-3157 with your email address.
Senators and Representatives:
Please advise Cheryl Miller, Dunn County Unit Secretary, 715-556-5034, as to whether you will be able to attend. Thank you!
NOTE: This meeting will happen shortly after the election of Town Officials, so PLEASE INVITE ALL NEW TOWN OFFICIALS TO THE MEETING. Getting new officials started off on the right foot with training in their new position will make that person more effective in their new role. New officials may meet the District Directors and obtain the additional resources the WTA can provide as they learn the local government responsibilities and processes.
